Best Bond Airplane stunts.

Since a new James Bond came out this week, I thought I’d write an article about the best James Bond stunts including airplanes. Let’s be honest, there are a lot, because airplanes are cool, I’m guessing part of being a spy is becoming a pilot too.

(I have not seen the new Bond Movie, but I am guessing aviation will be involved on some level – I hope so)

Live and let die – Bond gives an impressive lesson in taildragger steering. Lots of planes get hurt here, including a lovely DC-3.

Octopussy – tiny jet =] (another stunt from this movie is further down!)

Goldeneye – and James bond skydives into a plane.

License to Kill (several)

  • Water skiing behind a plane at 3:40
  • Cropduster rescue at 8:30

Another stunt from this film is further down 🙂

Hercules in the Living Daylights.
This awesome plane features in quite a few stunts (sadly, crashing at the end) – this is the only good stunt I can find on youtube. The music is pretty good too.

Landing a Vulcan on the sea in Thunderball (obviously a model though…)

Catching a plane with a helicopter in License to Kill (Sorry it’s in French!)

DC-3 chase down from Quantum of Solace. (Possibly the only good bit of the film?)

Excellent emergency landing, (if ignoring the cliff). To be honest, I still don’t get why the plane crashes. This is also from Octopussy!

For your eyes only – remote control helicopter. Crazy.
